Nine Lessons Carols Oxford Cathedral – You are warmly invited to one of our Christmas Carol services at Christ Church. On account of the extremely high demand for these services, you are permitted to book only two tickets across all four services, and you are asked to provide the name of your guest at the point of booking.
Booking is essential
Booking closes the week before the services, on Thursday 12 December, but we would urge you to register at your earliest convenience since all four services were fully booked within a matter of minutes last year.
You will be issued, by email, with a ticket during the week commencing Monday 16 December – it would greatly assist the Cathedral Stewards if you were able to bring it with you rather than any QR code or email issued by our booking platform. The doors will open half an hour before the service and we ask that you are in your place ten minutes beforehand, at which point any unoccupied spaces will be offered to the public queue.
Even if you’re unable to join us for one of our carol services, we very much hope to welcome you to the Cathedral over Advent and Christmas. Details of our other events and services may be found at www.chch.ox.ac.uk/cathedral/christmas and our services of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday and Monday will be available to view on our YouTube channel.
Please kindly note that on-site parking regrettably isn’t available. There are, however, public car parks at Oxpens (OX1 1RQ) and Westgate (OX1 1TR), though we would recommend the Park and Ride schemes, which often prove the easiest way to travel into the city centre. There are three public bays on St Aldates (right outside Christ Church), and a further two in Pembroke Square (opposite Christ Church), for use by Blue Badge holders. Firstly. Additionally .
